Academic Program

The primary purpose of St. Raymond High School is to provide a college preparatory Catholic education for its students. Success depends on a student's consistent commitment to his studies and the support and interest of parents. Besides report cards students receive an interim report each marking period. Parents of students receiving an unsatisfactory interim report are encouraged to make an appointment with the teacher(s) so that steps can be taken to remediate the problem(s). Dates for the Parent-Teacher-Son Conferences (one each semester) are provided in the current calendar and parents are encouraged to attend.

A passing grade is 65%. In order to graduate on time, seniors are required to pass all subjects and must meet all school and State Education Department requirements. A student's final average is the average of his two semester grades. A student passing a Regents examination with a 65% or higher automatically qualifies for course credit. Final averages and rank are determined by the grade received and the weight of the course (the more demanding the course of studies, the greater the weight assigned).

Attendance at St. Raymond Summer School is required to make-up any failure(s) and passing grade(s) sill be necessary in order to re-enter St. Raymond High School for Boys the following September. A student failing two or more subjects will have his status reviewed each semester by the Administration.
