
Honor Convocations are held each year to commend those who have excelled in their studies. First Honors is awarded to a student with an average of 89.5 or above and no failing grades. Second Honors is given to a student who has earned an average of 84.5 or above and no failing grades. There is no minimum passing grade to qualify for honors. A student who receives at least two course grades in the 90s, but did not make First or Second Honors, is enrolled in the Nineties Club. His name will appear on a listing in the Academic Display Case. Students selected for the Principal's Honor Roll must have a 95% average and demonstrate their interest and involvement in the school through participation in extra-curricular and service activities. Graduation with Distinction is an honor conferred at the Commencement Exercises upon students who have maintained an average of 85% over the course of their four years. Satisfactory deportment and attendance are assumed prerequisites for the reception of any honors at St. Raymond high School for Boys.
