Guidance

The purpose of the Guidance Department is to assist students in assuming appropriate responsibility for their own growth and development. A wide range of services is provided to help the student know and understand himself, and to put this knowledge to use in making plans and decisions for the future. These include tutorial programs for those who want academic help and group, individual, and family counseling when needed. The counselors schedule individual conferences with each student on a periodic basis to discuss the student's growth, academics, and for the upperclassmen, career and college information, including financial aid.

Information is available in the College Resource Room relevant to career and college plans. Students are encouraged to visit this office and make use of this information. Parents are encouraged to arrange a conference with counselors when deemed necessary. The SAT code for our school is 334011.
